WCLA promoting British Egg Week and World Egg Day

West Country Layers Association is an Agricultural Co-operative, supporting British egg producers in the South West. They are very ‘egg-cited’ to be supporting British Egg Week this year, which runs from Monday, 9th October to Sunday, 15th October. It celebrates the versatility and health benefits of incorporating more eggs into your meals.Furthermore, World Egg Day, on Friday 11th October, is another ‘egg-cuse’ to celebrate the versatile and nutritionally valuable egg.See WCLA at Exeter Cathedral green on Sat 12th OctoberOn Saturday 12th October, come along to the green, just in-front of Exeter Cathedral, where WCLA will have a marquee. We have invited several local chefs to present cooking demonstrations, showcasing one of nature’s most nutritious and adaptable foods. Whether you prefer them poached, scrambled, or air-fried, eggs are a key ingredient for many great dishes and our chefs will be cooking up culinary delights with eggs, to give you some inspiration and great fresh recipe ideas.Plus come and see some day-old chicks and laying hens and see how eggs are graded using state- of- the- art equipment. Meet nutritional experts to find out more about the health benefits of eggs and hear talks on sustainability and how British Farmers are rising to the challenges of reducing food miles.
