BFREPA Calendar Competition 2025: Now Open for Entries!

We’re excited to announce that the BFREPA Calendar Competition is back for its 16th year – and we’re looking for your best photographs to celebrate free range production throughout the seasons.

This hot summer has given us plenty of perfect moments for the camera: hens dust bathing, exploring the range, or simply showing their character in humorous ways. But we also want images that capture the full cycle of the year - snow scenes, autumn colours, spring freshness, harvest time, or hens perched on straw bales. Seasonal shots that link to production activities and traditions are especially welcome.

How to Enter
It couldn’t be easier to take part. Simply:

• Email your photos to calendar@bfrepa.co.uk
or
• upload them via the members’ area on our website.

Please make sure images are full size and at least 1MB (no thumbnails or reduced formats).

Prizes
• £500 prize for the overall winning photo, which will appear on the front cover.

• £25 prize for every image selected to feature in the monthly pages.

Whether it’s Halloween hens, frosty winter mornings, or springtime foraging under blossom trees, we want photographs that highlight the welfare benefits of free range production and the beauty of the countryside we work in. Inside shots are welcome too - interventions, drinking, feeding - anything that tells the story of life in free range production.

This is a fantastic opportunity to promote all that’s best about free range production - and have your work celebrated in a calendar enjoyed across the industry.
